STRATON
THE STRATOSPHERIC RETURN GLIDER
Straton Glider is a fully autonomous return system designed to bring scientific payloads safely back from the stratosphere. Launched under a high-altitude balloon, the glider detaches at altitude and autonomously navigates back to the launch site or a predefined landing zone. Straton Glider embodies our goal to make stratospheric research more cost-effective, sustainable, and accessible.
Key Advantages
-
Autonomous: Returns payloads from over 30 km altitude with no human input
-
Reusable: Lowers mission cost, turnaround time, and environmental impact
-
Regulation-Friendly: Stays under 250 g AUW, easing flight permissions
-
Safe Recovery: Deploys parachute at low altitude for soft landing in tight areas
-
Scalable: Our design is ready for scaling to accommodate larger experiments

Applications
-
Meteorological sounding and atmospheric research
-
Environmental and biological sample return missions
-
Academic and student-led high-altitude experiments

Current Status
Stratospheric flight testing in progress...
Following multiple successful high-altitude drops, the Straton Glider is proving its reliability and precision in real-world conditions — including a recent fully autonomous return from 32 km altitude.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR EARLY ADOPTERS AND PARTNERS INTERESTED IN TESTING THE STRATON GLIDER IN REAL-WORLD OPERATIONAL SCENARIOS.
